Employees who bicycle to work use a non-polluting way to commute, improve their health, and reduce the number of cars on our congested roads. Employers can easily support their riders by recognizing their contribution. You can find resources and ideas below to promote bicycling to work all year. Free "How-to Guide - Bike to Work" Presentation

The San Diego County Bicycle Coalition offers to give presentations at your own workplace on bicycle commuting and planning your bike to work ride. Don't miss this great opportunity to learn about safety, bike maps, and routes. We will help you schedule a presentation.

You can use the following email to encourage your organization to support bicycling to work. Simply copy and paste into your email editor. Don't forget to change the text in brackets before sending the email.

 

Rider Incentives

Encourage your HR department or CEO to support bicycling to work by providing incentives for employees who ride. Once a month (at least once a year for bike to work day in May), employers can easily:

  • have a raffle for riders
  • offer a free lunch
  • hand out water bottles and an energy bar
